Brief: Introduce Granville Island Brewing’s new line of small-batch beers to a discerning craft beer crowd.
Insight: After being acquired by Molson, Granville Island Brewing had grown concerned their attempts to break into the craft beer market would be met with cynicism. Brewmaster Vern's beers were far from mainstream, however, the recipes for which he kept tucked inside his (in)famous black notebook.

Over a dozen labels were created for the brand. Write-ups and reviews could be found across the internet as beer afficianodos brewed up conversation on blogs and social media.
Illustrator Jason Stavrou provided piecemeal illustrations in his characteristic style that I then composited together to create a label based on my initial design.
