An animation technique demonstrating the cyclical nature of recycling seemed appropriate to announce Encorp’s expanded list of accepted electronics.
Brief: Educate consumers that Encorp had begun accepting virtually all of their unwanted electronics.
Insight: Most consumer electronics had been destined for landfill up until this point, their valuable and expensive components both going to waste and creating environmental hazards. It was an industry triumph that Encorp had finally developed an infrastructure to accept almost everything imaginable – from dusty 70's turntables to shiny, modern gadgets.
Recycling margins are thin, so we turned to animation for this hero :15 that lived in broadcast and on social media
In addition to concepting the idea, I was responsible for developing the visual style, designing the hero electronics, and directing the spot. It was a rare pleasure to look on as the brilliant minds at Giant Ant brought everything to life.
